And the color of the year 2014 is....Radiant Orchid! *swoon*
If there's a color trend I'd like to give a shout-out to, it's definitely this one. Here's a few ways it has popped up in wedding world in it's romantic, graceful way.

Do me a favor and try to think of someone who looks bad in purple. Purple (namely orchid) is a really daring choice, but definitely beautiful.
Check out this amazing pressed glassware from our fabulous friends at Southern Vintage.
Gosh, how chic would these angora gloves be as a bridesmaid gift at a winter wedding? Obsessed. You can get a handmade pair from this sweet Etsy shop.
Word to the wise-
Sure, color is so important. It's one of the first ways wedding design communicates to the guests, and often it's one of the elements guests remember the best! BUT, your wedding is not your wedding colors. If you don't want a theme color, don't have one. Remember not to get too wrapped up in choosing colors. The pressure to choose a color theme is a social construct anyways; as they might have said in my Ethics & Society class in college. Be yourself, and go with what you like.
Hey, it's your day!
